There are two methods for chanting the Yoga Sutras:
BROKEN: composed by Krishnamacarya, this version separates words and groups of words by dashes. This method, presented as a LISTEN & REPEAT tutorial, favors reading and proper pronunciation. This version is recommended for learning.
LINKED: As in the classical text, all the words are joined together. When chanted, this version favors speed and memorization. This CONTINUOUS version is intended for listening. Linda recommends that one first learn the BROKEN version, and after some mastery, the LINKED version can be introduced.

Chapter 1, Sutras 1-4 and Chapter 2, Sutras 1-4 come with two audio files in MP3 format: a LISTEN & REPEAT version and a CONTINUOUS version. These are recommended for learning. Also included is an image of the chant in transliteration and instructions on how to best use the recordings.
